| Q01 |
Are you a member of WISA? If not, why not? |
| |
Yes |
| Q02 |
What role do you think WISA has in the future of the Club/Trust? |
| |
I have always believed that WISA's role is to support the club as much as it possibly can but, most importantly, to provide a forum for fans to express their views - especially if those views differ from that of the Club/Trust. |
| Q03 |
What personal qualities (other than professional skills,
and a capacity for hard work) do you have that the Dons Trust Board
needs? |
| |
My principle desire is to ensure that the fans are fully appraised - as much as they can be publicly about something as sensitive as the ground developments - so I would ensure that there is a clear and regular line of communication to the fans about what is going on in relation to the ground. Thus, my ability to talk clearly and frankly to people will be very important. |
| Q04 |
What do you perceive the role of the Dons Trust to be? In
particular, what do you see its role to be in relation to the club?
What is the role of the members/owners? |
| |
The role of the Trust is to, to me, to oversee the direction and management of the club, its activities and its interests, and to provide a forum through which the fans can express their views on matters. |
| Q05 |
Have you been involved in any projects / organisations /
working parties or volunteer groups on behalf of the Club or the Dons
Trust? If so, what was your role and what did you achieve? If elected,
and bearing in mind the time consuming nature of the Dons Trust Board,
will you still carry on this work? |
| |
N/A |
| Q06 |
How will you get more people to volunteer and help out the
club? |

| Q07 |
What are the biggest problems facing the Dons Trust? And
what three things would you suggest to make it more dynamic? |
| |
I have one answer on this matter. Membership: the Trust needs more AFCW fans to join. I understand membership stands at around 500, yet we pull in 3k+ at home. We would need to make sure that the work of the Trust, its broad-ranging membership, and the opportunities for people to contribute to its work are better understood, and that more people see the benefits of joining. |
| Q08 |
Why do you believe you can put your views into practice and deliver on any promises you make? How much time do you have to devote to Trust matters? |
| |
Simply because I passionately believe that the issue of returning home is the most fundamental issue the club faces. |
| Q09 |
Do you have any financial interests in the club, associated companies or Trust? If so, please could you specify? |
| |
Other than being a trust shareholder, none. |
| Q10 |
If we are not promoted this season, do you think we should try to get a league place and / or go professional (i.e. take on full-time players) as soon as possible, whatever the cost (financial or otherwise)? Is fan ownership non-negotiable? |
| |
Fan ownership is non-negotiable: this will mean, however, that we will need to be more imaginative when it comes to addressing strategic issues like funding mechanisms for a new ground in Wimbledon. If we are not promoted this season, we should continue to steadily build the side as we have done this season: we would not want to risk stagnating, but I do not see us as having to be in a huge rush to get promoted. We have come a long way in a short time, and our patchy form at this level suggests we are not quite ready on the pitch for the step up, even if we could more than manage off the pitch. |
| Q11 |
What schemes should / would you put in place to help reduce the club's debt? |
| |
The candidate has not submitted a response to this question |
| Q12 |
What action will you take if you feel the Club is committing itself to ventures it cannot afford? |
| |
I will speak my mind at Board meetings, and will do everything I can within my powers as a trust Board member to ensure that the right decisions are taken. |
| Q13 |
If the Club makes a profit from FA Cup or Trophy runs, or from the sale of players, should that windfall be used to improve the infrastructure of the Club or be used to improve the playing squad? |
| |

| Q14 |
Do you see The Fans Stadium, Kingsmeadow, as a temporary or permanent home for AFC Wimbledon? |
| |
Very definitely temporary only |
| Q15 |
What is your opinion on the possibility of a move to the Greyhound Stadium what would you do if elected to make it a reality? |
| |
The Greyhound Stadium - seemingly one of a small number of more likely options within Wimbledon itself - should be pursued as actively as it can be, and its pursuit should be on a par (or higher than), in terms of club efforts, all other activities - including the playing side and developing KM for league football. The first thing I would do if elected would be to join the Stadium Working Group, to ensure that the club's and the Trust's position on returning home is made clear (I am not convinced that it is at the moment), and then to communicate to all fans exactly where we are with all aspects of any option for returning home. |
| Q16 |
What will you do to improve communication between the Trust members and their board? |
| |
I would like to take some time, if elected, to think more about how to do this to maximum effect. The Trust has a stall at the ground plus regular information in the programme, but I do feel that finding ways to make its work more accessible to all fans (and not just Trust members) would be important. |
| Q17 |
Do you believe that the Trust should adopt a clear stance on issues such as Milton Keynes’ inclusion in the England 2018 World Cup bid, or do you think that the Trust should maintain a diplomatic silence and leave such issues to WISA? |
| |
On anything to do with the Frannies, the Trust - and any other organization associated with AFC Wimbledon and with all true football fans - should do everything within its power to ensure that they disappear off the face the earth. |
| Q18 |
Should Trust board members always be bound by ‘collective responsibility’? |
