Dons Trust Elections - Questionnaire 2008

The Dons Trust elections are taking place again.

That gives all Dons Trust members the chance to quiz the candidates on how they view the club and what they believe that they would bring to the Dons Trust Board.

To make it easier, WISA has done some of the job for you!

We've asked all the candidates to answer the following questions. And we have pleasure in reproducing their answers below.

Q1	Are you a member of WISA? If not, why not?
Q2	Why should WISA members vote for you?
Q3	What role do you think WISA has in the future of the Club/Trust?
Q4	What personal qualities (other than professional skills, and a capacity for hard work) do you have that the Dons Trust Board needs?
Q5	What do you perceive the role of the Dons Trust to be? In particular, what do you see its role to be in relation to the club? What is the role of the members/owners?
Q6	Have you been involved in any projects / organisations / working parties or volunteer groups on behalf of the Club or the Dons Trust? If so, what was your role and what did you achieve? If elected, and bearing in mind the time consuming nature of the Dons Trust Board, will you still carry on this work?
Q7	How will you get more people to volunteer and help out the club?
Q8	Do you have any financial interests in the club? If so, please could you specify?
Q9	Are you in favour a register of interests to record any benefits (financial or otherwise) Dons Trust Board members gain from their dealings with the Trust / PLC?
Q10	What are the biggest problems facing the Dons Trust? And what three things would you suggest to make it more dynamic?

Q13	Do you believe that it would be a good idea for 'elected members' of the Dons Trust Board to be automatically included on the Board of the PLC?
Q14	What size do you think the Dons Trust Board should be? Of these, how many do you think should be elected?
Q15	Do you think the aim of regaining a league place within the next 6/7 years is realistic, or should the timetable be more relaxed? Do you think we should try to get a league place in such a timescale whatever the cost (financial or otherwise) or are there certain things (such as fan ownership) you are not prepared to give up?
Q16	In view of the recent approach from 'Mr X' to buy 'Our' Club, how do you see 'us', the members, being able to finance a return to the league without giving up control of the club?
Q17	What schemes should / would you put in place to help reduce the club's debt?
Q18	Why do you believe you can put your views into practice and deliver on any promises you make?
Q19	Do you see The Fans Stadium, Kingsmeadow, as a temporary or permanent home for AFC Wimbledon?
