8 - What personal qualities (apart from professional skills, and a capacity for hard work) do you have that the DT Board needs?
Tom Adam

Accepting that the possession of professional skills can be taken as read, I am able to run a business, work successfully in a team and take the lead if necessary, negotiate at all business and government levels, think and take action as planner, secure results and above all communicate at all levels.

Lou Carton-Kelly

Trust experience both at the Dons Trust level and Supporters Direct level. A strong desire for the DT to continue it's success and guardianship of the club. Drive, enthusiasm, determination.

Sarah Colesell No response received.
David Cox

Open and Honest, I also don't believe I know the answers to everything, so am prepared to ask others for their help. My experience in business enabled me to develop leadership qualities and a rational decision making process.

Colin Dench

I believe that the Dons Trust Board needs people who are prepared to communicate with members, listen to their views, and put them at the centre of the decision making process. I have experience of doing this, having helped lead members' open meetings on constitutional issues, and through my experience as a trade union representative. I believe that, for the Trust to run as it should, Board members should always act with honesty and integrity, and would do so if elected.

Ray Downham

I believe in community, adequate representation and equality for all. I will also oppose anything that is inequitable or unjust. I believe personal qualities include the ability to lead by way of example and persuasion. I believe I have strong analytical and evaluation skills that along with a desire and ability to deliver will help to effect the implementation of organisational enhancements on behalf of us the members.

Anne Eames

Interpersonnel skills, approachable, friendly, organised and can work within a team.

Steve Elson

I will leave that to the members to decide.

Pat Fotheringham

I hate questions like this, as I am not good at self-promotion!  I think I am a good listener and have good communication skills.  I enjoy working with people and am able to co-ordinate and progress tasks, both individually and as part of a team.

Andrew Goodwin

Working at the CBI I come from a background of working for a membership organisation. Ignoring the politics surrounding the CBI (which I believe are irrelevant when considering whether I would be a suitable candidate for the Dons Trust Board), my job is wholly dependent on me providing a service to our members, and therefore consultation and member focus are second nature to me. I think that this makes me an ideal person to be part of the Dons Trust Board because I have the capacity to improve the communication between the Board and the members, through both my own personal efforts, and through introducing techniques that I have learned working for a membership organisation.

I am a good organiser, as demonstrated by the fact that I have been appointed as a ‘bronze leader' steward, with responsibility for a group of stewards in a particular area of the ground.

I have a proven track record in successfully undertaking project work – something I believe is an essential skill that each Board member should have. For example I was recently tasked by AFC Wimbledon to assess the arrangements regarding radio equipment for the stewards. As a result of my work the Club has terminated the previous rental agreement and purchased new equipment, which will provide significant cost savings to the Club for years to come.

am also young – at 25 I am acutely aware that members of my age group have not been represented on the Trust Board thus far.

Jacki Harvie

My adaptability and my commitment to the Trust and the Club.

Ivor Heller

Business skills and the guts to confront when necessary.

Nigel Higgs

I'll leave that to others to judge, other than to say I am open and honest and 100% committed to the objectives of the Dons Trust.

Marc Jones

Passion, enterprise and a keen interest in speaking my mind (whilst keeping my ears open).

Dennis Lowndes

I will get things done and protect Our Clubs future in the process. I am open with people and what you see, is what you get. I have no hidden agenda, I want our club to succeed.

Luke Mackenzie

I'm very approachable and feel that I can balance two sides of an argument. I can be a good task leader and perhaps more importantly work in a team to achieve what is best for the DT membership and AFC Wimbledon fan base. I feel that I can quickly see what issues are important and pursue them.

Michael O'Shaughnessy

I'm a team player, a good listener, and have an ability to work with others. I have a passionate belief in AFCW and the ideals of the Trust-I think they offer a sane alternative to the current money madness in football

Chris Philips

Openness, honesty and moral integrity. I stand up for what I believe in.

Erik Samuelson

I have practical experience of running a business and I have used this to ensure that the Trust and the club have avoided a significant number of pitfalls over the last 18 months. I work well in teams, motivating them by building consensus (ask any member of the Finance WG or the Safety WG). I have no airs and graces about doing whatever is needed to succeed, whether it is working all the hours that God sends or scrubbing the toilets (ask the people who painted and cleaned the stadium).

Ron Trayhorn

A commitment to the Trust movement and a belief that the Trust is essential to protect for the fans what we have so far achieved.
