Who are you? |
1 |
Are you a member of WISA? If not, why not?
No I am not a member of WISA but I have been an avid supporter of WISA and all WISA's activities. |
2 |
Why should WISA members vote for you?
I feel the WISA members should vote for me because I have the supporters interests at heart, and I want to see WISA and the Trust progress. |
3 |
How much time can you commit each month to DT duties (excluding AFCW activities?).
I am currently unemployed and do not work for AFCW PLC at all now, so I could devote what time is required to meet the needs of the Dons Trust Board. |
4 |
What role would you perform on the DT board?
I would like to do something on the commercial side or FITC. Also, I feel I would be very good as player liaison for the Trust with past and present players. |
5 |
Would you undertake any additional activities in AFCW?
No - not unless it was for the benefit of the Dons Trust.
|
6 |
Did you support the recent share issue enthusiastically, with reservations, or were you unhappy with the idea?
With reservations. |
7 |
Do you favour a register of interests to record any benefits (financial or otherwise) Trust members gain from their dealings with the Trust or PLC?
Yes I do favour a register of interests. |
8 |
What personal qualities (apart from professional skills, and a capacity for hard work) do you have that the DT Board needs?
Interpersonnel skills, approachable, friendly, organised and can work within a team. |
9 |
Please list all financial benefits that you have received in the past through dealings with the Trust or Plc.
When setting up the Academy - stationery costs i.e. stamps £15.00/telephone card £20.00. Mostly paid expenses for Academy myself - i.e. made pasta for all the coaches and drinks for the kids, additional phone and stationery. |
| How could the Trust do better? |
10 |
What do you think of the Trust's performance and achievements so far?
I feel some elements of the Trust work could have been improved upon, hence I feel I could bring this to the table and assist the Trust with this. |
11 |
What changes would you propose, if any, to the way the Trust operates?
Minutes of meetings published. I would veto for the Dons Trust and AFCW PLC to have separate members. I would want the supporters to have a vote on important issues. I would also make sure AFCW Board report all elements of activity - non essential and essential to the Trust Board. |
12 |
How could the Trust board improve its communication with members?
Minutes published, regular forums, noticeboards around ground displaying Trust news, website updated regularly, more newsletters. |
13 |
When considering candidates for board member positions for the Club, what characteristics would you look for?
Honest, open, efficient, willing to take on projects of any kind and lastly a good team player. |
14 |
Should directors of DT subsidiaries (E.g. AFC Plc) be allowed to take up elected posts on the DT Board?
No - never in a million years should this be allowed. See Q11. |
15 |
How do you currently understand the duties and relationship of the DT Board in relation to the AFC Wimbledon PLC, AFC Wimbledon Ltd., and AFC Stadium Ltd. boards?
The DT Board oversees AFCW plc, AFC Wimbledon Ltd. AFC Stadium Ltd are a separate entity on their own. What I would like to see is two members of the DT Board (not AFCW plc Board members) to be represented on all these boards. |
| Democracy |
16 |
Should the Trust membership have the final say on the big issues, like where the club has its home ground or selling shares in the club?
Yes - the Trust membership must always have the final say. |
17 |
Should Trust members have the right to propose motions at the AGM and other general meetings?
Yes - everybody should be entitled to their say. |
| What should the Trust do in the future? |
18 |
What ideas do you have for paying off the rest of the debt on the purchase of Kingsmeadow?
I feel we are not utilising our position in the right way. We have many resources at our disposal i.e. halls, football pitch which we are not running properly. For instance when we returned from the Vase cup game at Herne Bay the club were running three coaches - got back to Kingsmeadow not one of the bars were open - so consequently everybody went and spent their money elsewhere. There are loads of commercial ways we can raise money which we need to look into, as I feel our fans have certainly done their bit and we need to look at other big organisations to help. |
19 |
Are there any situations in which the Trust could, or should, relinquish control of AFCW?
None whatsoever. THE TRUST MUST ALWAYS HAVE CONTROL. |
20 |
Do you see Kingsmeadow, The Fans Stadium as a temporary or permanent home for AFC Wimbledon ?
Temporary. I feel if we become more successful on the pitch Merton Council will want us back in the borough and not in Kingston, and will find us a site. |
