FSF Southern Division Meeting - Sunday 30th November

The next meeting of the Southern Division of the Football Supporters’ Federation will take place at The Fans’ Stadium on Sunday 30th November 2008, starting at 12:00. Topics for discussion will include the relationship between television and football as well as a look at wealth distribution and league structure.

Has TV money ruined football for supporters or should we all give thanks to this extra revenue and the role it’s played in improving facilities and bringing the world’s best players to the Premier League?

Lord Triesman, chairman of the Football Association, said that more money from the Premier League should be used to “bail out” the lower leagues. At the other end of the scale Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside is calling for a 40-club, two division Premier League closed shop where annoyances such as relegation wouldn’t occur. What is the ideal financial and structural model for league football in the future?

This meeting is open to members and non-members alike, the FSF are always keen to see new faces at meetings.
