FSF Regional AGM at Kingsmeadow on Sunday

Next Sunday, 20th April, the Fans’ Stadium – Kingsmeadow is hosting the Annual General Meeting of the Southern Division of the Football Supporters’ Federation.

The meeting starts at 12 noon, and after the usual AGM-style business, some lively debate can be expected. Topics up for discussion include player discipline – players have never been worse behaved, so how can we change that? And policing – what are the police’s responsibilities inside and outside the ground, and who should pay for the police presence?

Remember, football fans are at their strongest when they band together. It’s only a few weeks since the Game 39 proposal was unveiled. And while -- thanks to widespread opposition – that monstrous idea has hopefully been scuppered, football’s integrity, and the interests of fans, continue to be threatened by those whose only aim is making as much money as possible. Supporting our regional FSF organisation is one important step in getting our views listened to.

The meeting will also be a great way to meet fans from other football clubs in southern England.

You can come along whether or not you’re an FSF member, though only FSF members can vote. The more, the merrier – so if you want to help shape national policy on behalf of football fans, come along to Kingsmeadow on Sunday! FSF membership forms can be downloaded from: http://www.fsf.org.uk

And on the weekend of 4th to 6th July, the FSF Fans’ Parliament takes place at the Emirates Stadium, Islington, the home of Arsenal. There’ll be workshop groups, interesting debate, and lots more. Remember, while many football fans put up with outrageous ticket prices, sit when they’d rather stand, and get banned from away games, the FSF is actually doing something about it!

Details of the Fans’ Parliament are on the FSF website at http://www.fsf.org.uk/news/news0112fansparliament.html
